what is Noun ? noun क्या है ? , आप सभी ने ये तो पढ़ा ही होगा की a word used to identify any of a class of people, places, or things, or to name a particular one of these उसे noun कहते है . But ये तो bank के exam में देखने को नहीं मिलेगा। चलिए जो कुछ noun से बैंक में आता है उसके बारे में देखते है।

1.COUNTABLE NOUN-

A countable noun is a noun that indicates something you could actually count.

a countable noun has both a singular and a plural form.

EXAMPLE-WINDOW,TEACHER,TREE,LION,EYE,MOVIE etc.

i.COMMON NOUN-

A common noun is a non-specific person, place, or thing. EXAMPLE- BOY, GIRL, TEACHER, COUNTRY, CITY etc.

ii.PROPER NOUN-

A proper noun is a specific person, place, or thing. EXAMPLE- EARTH, ASIA, INDIA, UTTARAKHAND, RAM etc.

iii.COLLECTIVE NOUN-

A collective noun is that refers to a group of individuals. EXAMPLE- CLASS, ARMY, FAMILY, JURY, POLICE, AUDIENCE etc.

2.UNCOUNTABLE NOUN-

An uncountable noun indicates something you cannot count.

EXAMPLE-ADVICE, NEWS, LUGGAGE, INFORMATION etc.

i.ABSTRACT NOUN-

Abstract nouns are a type of noun that you can’t see or touch.

(you can’t see it, smell it, taste it, hear it, or touch it)

EXAMPLE- PAIN, HAPPINESS, BEAUTY, BIRTH, DEATH, HONESTY etc.

ii.MATERIAL NOUN-

Material Nouns are names of materials or substances which things are made of.

EXAMPLE– IRON, PLASTIC, DIAMOND, GOLD, SILVER etc.

UNCOUNTABLE NOUN- SINGULAR NOUN + SINGULAR VERB

ये हमेशा याद रखना है की singular noun के साथ सिर्फ singular verb use करेंगे । और plural noun के साथ हमेशा plural verb use करेंगे।

Some important rule

Rule 1

Some nouns look like singular but are always plural thus take plural verbs.

ALWAYS PLURAL + PLURAL VERB

EXAMPLE- PEOPLE, CATTLE, POULTRY, PEASANTRY, MAJORITY, GENTRY, CLERGY etc.
